Whenever you request a review by email in the LISA admin, you'll be able to select an email template to send to the customer. To create a brand-new template for your email review request (or to edit an existing one), follow the instructions below.
Please note that these instructions apply to the email that is sent when you request a review. If you'd like to change the email sent as a "thank you" after a review is submitted, follow these instructions instead.
1. Go to Notifications > Email Templates
Once you've logged into the LISA admin, navigate to Notifications > Email Templates.
On the page for Email Templates, make sure that you are on the "Customers" tab.
2. Click the Plus (+) Button
In the upper right corner of the page, click the plus (+) button to create a new email template.
If you're editing an existing email template rather than creating a new one, simply click it from the list. Your LISA platform does come with default templates to request reviews (both on-site and off), which you are free to customize as you see fit.
3. Fill Out the Template Details
On the Email Template page, simply fill out the relevant information in each of the fields:
- Email template type*
- Dynamic elements
- Email trigger options**
*To ensure that this template can be used for review requests, it's important to choose "Reviews" in the dropdown menu for Email Template Type.
**Because you will be manually selecting this template whenever you request a review by email, you should leave it as the default "Manual" selection under Email Trigger Options. (Explore all three options in our overview of email triggers.)
For more guidance, follow along with our general article on creating a new customer email template.
4. Save Your Changes
After completing your email template (and previewing it to check the final result), click "Save" to save your changes.
That's it! Now your email template will appear as option in the dropdown menu whenever you go to request a review by email.
