How to Edit the Job Application Response Email (Sent to Applicants)

Whenever a website visitor submits a job application on your website, the LISA platform will send an automated email to thank the applicant and confirm the submission. To customize the message that is sent to job applicants, follow the instructions below.

If you are not familiar with automated emails, start with our overview of email templates or our overview of Careers.

1. Go to Email Notifications

Navigate to Notifications > Email Templates.

Make sure you're in the Customers tab.

2. Find the Career Email Template

Use the filter at the top or search manually to find the email template of the Career type. Click on it.

3. Make Your Edits

On the Email Template page, use the fields presented to make your edits and customizations.

As shown in the screenshot above, the options include:

  • Name
  • Subject
  • Body

You can also use the Add Elements to Email Design field shown below to insert "dynamic elements" into the body of the email, including elements specific to the job application submitted. (For instance, you could insert the applicant's first name or link to their resume.)

Fields Not to Change

To ensure that your email template is sent automatically to all job applicants, it's important to not change the following fields:

4. Save Your Changes

After you've edited your email template to your liking, click Save to save your changes. (You can also preview your template before saving!)
